What is a Cavity?

A cavity occurs when the bacteria in your mouth makes acids and eats away at the outermost layer of the tooth called the enamel.
It is the most common problem of mouth. It is essential to repair your cavities and to maintain healthy and beautiful teeth.
Cavities can be prevented and managed by regular dental examinations and instructions from an early age.

The treatment methods changed by the stages of cavity

There are stages of dental caries, and the treatment methods will change according to each stage.

C0

The surface of a tooth becomes cloudy or brownish. At the C0 stage, it can be repair with careful brushing.

C1

The small brownish hole appears on the surface of tooth. Although there is no pain at this stage, it can not be cured naturally. The rotted part of the tooth should be removed and filled with resin or metal.

C2

Since the tooth decay reaches the dentin which is under the enamel; subjective symptoms such as pain appear when chewing sweet or cold foods. It will be required to remove the tooth decay and, take measures such as filling particular material to protect the dental pulp if necessary.

C3

The tooth decay affects the part where the nerves and blood vessels of the tooth gather causing a sharp pain. It is required to remove the nerve infected with the bacteria.

C4

There is no pain because the nerve is necrosed. In the worst case, if no treatment is done it in this stage, the tooth will be needed to be extracted.
